Mike Myers Inglourious Basterds

Mike Myers, at the film premiere.

“I love movies and I make movies and I love specific genres, and... and... just to work with somebody who's that into it, has that much energy and that much passion, like I said I just, I served at the pleasure of the president and whatever he wanted me to do, "Charge up that hill?", "Charge up that hill". So I had a great time.”
―Mike Myers on his time on the set[1]

Michael John "Mike" Myers (born May 25, 1963) is a Canadian actor, comedian, screenwriter, and film producer of British parentage. He plays General Ed Fenech in the film.

A fan of Quentin Tarantino, Myers had inquired about being in the film since his parents had been in the British Armed Forces. In terms of the character's dialect, Myers felt that it was a version of Received Pronunciation meeting the officer class, but mostly an attitude of "I'm fed up with this war and if this dude can end it, great because my country is in ruins."
