German soldier (Mata Hari) is a minor character in Inglourious Basterds. He was one of Wilhelm's buddies and was the last person to die in the tavern firefight (Wilhelm was killed by Bridget after the firefight ended).
Biography[]
He was born in Germany. He joined the German army (Wehrmacht) during WWII and was sent on the Western front, in France, in the small village of Nadine.
In Inglourious Basterds[]
Chapter Four - OPERATION KINO[]
He was one of the 4 soldiers who got the night off to celebrate the birth of Wilhelm's son, Maximilian.
He was one of the few who survived to the end of the tavern firefight, shooting Wilhelm Wicki and being killed by friendly fire from his own friend Wilhelm.
His body was discovered by col. Hans Landa after the incident.
Trivia[]
- When the camera shifts to Eric, we see that the German soldier is crouched to the ground, but in the following shot, when Wilhelm is firing at the room, we see that he's standing up again, for no reason.
